"We easily add new products and new product versions to our production floor located across the continent. Our Contract Manufacturer uses Proligent to monitor product test data for process improvement. In addition to being stable and user-friendly, Proligent is also flexible and expandable."
Overview The context
As Optovia introduces new products to market, engineering considerations regarding test automation and its deployment over the CM sites naturally led the test engineers to adapt to Proligent to address challenges such as test definition and execution management, centralized data collection and reporting, traceability of specifications to test results, and synchronization of test sequences, instrumentation automation software and test results with remote test stations located at CM sites. Designing test stations that enforce visibility and quality at remote CM sitesAdopting a scalable and flexible test process automation platform like Proligent during design, prototyping and production phases of a product is a key element in meeting stringent schedules and cost constraints. Proligent was configured and deployed for Optovia within a few months. It interfaced with their existing infrastructure while adding a complete modularity, traceability and configurability of test process. Deploying a well-managed test process to multiple test stations was a straightforward step, based on Proligent’s well tested and proven modules incorporating best practices of test engineering. Proligent brought a traceable and auditable test process that also features strong failure and repair capabilities. While providing a complete access to test floor workflow and test data and results, Proligent provided a series of built-in reports for WIP, yield analysis and SPC capabilities at a very low cost. Proligent is a modular and distributed test process automation software that runs on multiple nodes with a highly flexible physical architecture. This enables Optovia to deploy and execute its quality testing process at multiple test stations, some of which are located at remote CM sites. Conclusion
