Overview Honeywell International is a diversified technology and manufacturing leader, and its aerospace business is a leading global provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military, space and airport operations. Honeywell Aerospace MRO facilities in Montreal wanted to upgrade three Manufacturing Test Stations in order to improve quality control testing performance, cost, execution speed, hardware compactness, and portability, while maintaining the high accuracy requirements of various manufacturer-specified functionality tests. The Solution This approach enabled Honeywell to reach its objectives of increase test quality and reliability, decrease test execution time, minimizing training effort, centralizing test specifications and results while ensuring a payback in less then a year. The resulting test system has proven superior to the original test system in speed, cost, compactness, and portability while satisfying the accuracy and stability requirements of the mission-critical functionality tests.
